Wagering Calculation
Understanding wagering requirements (WR) is crucial to cashing out bonus winnings. Let’s break it down with a realistic example.
Suppose you deposit €100 and claim a 100% welcome bonus up to €200. Your bonus amount is €100, so your total balance becomes €200 (deposit + bonus). The WR is typically stated as 35x (bonus + deposit) or 35x bonus only. In this case, the condition is 35x (€100 deposit + €100 bonus) = 35 x €200 = €7,000.
This means you must place bets totaling €7,000 before you can withdraw any winnings from the bonus. The contribution of different games varies: slots usually contribute 100%, table games like blackjack may contribute only 10% or even 0%. Let’s say you play only slots. To calculate the expected loss while meeting WR:
If you wager €7,000 on slots with an average RTP of 96%, your expected loss is €7,000 x (1 – 0.96) = €280. So from your €200 balance, you might expect to have around €200 – €280 = negative €80? That’s impossible — in practice, you’ll either win or lose. But statistically, you need to be prepared to lose the entire €200 if unlucky.
Now, if the WR is 35x bonus only (i.e., 35 x €100 = €3,500), your expected loss is €3,500 x 4% = €140, leaving an expected €60 left. Always check the exact terms: “35x (D+B)” is stricter than “35x B”.
Formula: Required Wagering = (Deposit + Bonus) × WR multiplier. After meeting WR, you can withdraw any remaining balance (subject to max cashout limits).
